Where to Start?

Getting started with note-taking doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Whether you're returning to study or just looking to sharpen your skills, the key is to find a method that works for you. Note-taking isn’t about writing everything down—it’s about capturing the most important ideas in a way that helps you understand, remember, and apply them later. You’ll find three practical note-taking methods in the resources below. If your current approach feels too slow or doesn’t quite suit your learning style, don’t worry—there’s no one perfect method. Try out a different technique and see what works best for you. You’ll have the opportunity to practise and explore these strategies on the next page of this course.
